We’ve made a catalogue of our most common selling wheel sets available for you to access 24/7.
We call it the BWT Core range.
All of the sets in our Core range have been carefully selected based on the most popular sets to cover a wide range of applications and requirements. Every set has been pre-checked to ensure it works with the 4WD and is a suitable tyre for the machine. You can order or recommend these sets with confidence.

New Holland T7 (SWB & LWB)
Standard Wheels
650/65R42
There are two main 650mm wide tyre options for the New Holland T7 series tractors: 650/65R42 & 650/75R38.
The 650/65R42 is most common and the cheaper option.
650/65R38
We definitely recommend the 650/65R42 over the 650/65R38 for the T7’s – you’ll get much better tractor performance with the taller 42″ tyres.
However, 650/65R38 is a size that we do get requests for. So we offer the following options.
650/75R38
For higher torque applications, we recommend the 650/75R38, it has a higher load rating and will normally carry approx. 2 ton extra per tyre than the 650/65R42.
Despite the 38” rim diameter, the 650/75R38 has an overall diameter similar to the 650/65R42.
520/85R42
Although its not as popular as a 650 wide tyre, we sometimes get requests for 520 wide tyres to suit the NH T7.
Rowcrop Wheels
There are three common widths of rowcrop wheel for the New Holland T7 tractors. 380/90R50 is by far the most popular, making up 76% of the sets we sell.
The 320/90R50 & 480/80R46 are sometimes chosen for more specialist applications.
380/90R50
The 380/90R50 is by far our most common selling rowcrop size for T7. In fact, its the top selling size across our entire range of wheels.
One of the important things to consider with rowcrops is the load rating – the Maxam, BKT 160D or Mitas 380/90R50 will carry 9 ton across the back axle. Most other makes (including Michelin Agribib, Trelleborg, BKT Agrimax etc) only offer a 6.9ton load rating and are often dangerously overloaded.
If you’re using a 3 ton fert spinner, pulling a heavy trailer, etc then the high-load Mitas or Maxam is the tyre you need.
320/90R54
The 320/90R54 is a less common rowcrop option – more suited to specialist crops, for example, lettuce, carrots, or asparagus.
480/80R46
Sometimes farmers prefer a slightly wider rowcrop to make the tyres more versatile – the 480 can do rowcrop work and still be wide enough to pull a trailer on the road. More popular in Scotland.
Wide & Flotation Wheels
900/50R42
The best option for flotation is the 900/50R42 with matching fronts. The 900 is the widest width you can go while still keeping under the 3m road width.
The VF tyre gives a 40% larger footprint than the equivalent standard tyre – meaning you can carry the same weight at 40% lower pressure.
710mm wide
If you’re looking for a tyre that works for both flotation and general use – we often recommend either a VF 710/60R42 or VF 710/70R38 with matching fronts.

New Holland T6
Standard wheels
650/65R38
The 650/65R38 is the most common standard wheel we recommend for the T6.
520/70R38
While not as popular as the 650/65R38, we do sometimes get requests for the 520/70R38 on a T6.
460/85R38
The 460/85R38 is a smaller diameter wheel on the T6, however it is an option on factory and is therefore a size we get requests for.
Rowcrop wheels
380/90R46
380mm wide is the most popular width of rowcrop we sell nowadays. The 380/90R46 is the tallest 380mm wide rowcrop we fit to the NH T6.
320/90R50
The 320/90R50 is a rowcrop option for more specialist crops or farmers who need a narrower tyre.
340/85R48
The 340/85R48 is another common rowcrop option.
If you’re comparing makes, the 340/90R48 made by Mitas is exactly the same size as the 340/85R48.
New Holland T5
Turf Wheels
23.1-26
The most popular budget turf option for the NH T5 is a 23.1-26 diamond pattern with matching fronts. There aren’t any diamond pattern front tyres, so we use the Ceat hockeystick pattern.
650/65-30.5
For those looking for a slightly wider turf option, or one with matching patterns front and rear, we recommend the 650/65-30.5 & 550/60-22.5 hockeystick pattern tyres.
There are two options for front tyres, Ceat or BKT, to work with multiple 4WD ratios.
650/65R30.5
These block pattern tyres are often used in fine turf applications – being a radial tyre they have a wide ‘square’ footprint so sit flatter than a cross-ply tyre, which all but eliminates marking on the ground.
Rowcrop wheels
340/85R46
If you’re after rowcrop wheels for the T5, we would normally recommend a 340/85R46 and matching front.
New Holland T4
Turf Wheels
600/55-26.5
Our most popular turf option for the T4 tractors is the 600/55-26.5 Ceat with matching fronts.
18.4-26
An alternative to the 600/55-26.5 option is a 18.4-26 diamond pattern with matching fronts. There aren’t any diamond pattern front tyres, so we use the BKT hockeystick pattern.

Our most popular turf option for the T4 S tractors is the 600/55-26.5 Ceat with matching fronts.
18.4-26
An altrenative to the 600/55-26.5 option is a 18.4-26 diamond pattern with matching fronts. There aren’t any diamond pattern front tyres, so we use the BKT hockeystick pattern.
Boomer 40 & 50

The only core set we offer for the Boomer tractors is the most common turf set for Boomer 40 & 50 tractors.
Our most common selling tyre makes
Maxam Tyres
Maxam is a good quality budget tyre we are able to offer. We’ve been selling the Maxam for a few years now and believe they are a similar quality to the BKT however at a lower price point. There is a very wide range of tyres
including all common sizes.
Some of the most common Maxam wheel sets we sell include the standard 650/65R42 & 540/65R30 and the very popular rowcrop size 380/90R50 & 380/85R34.
Maxam has one of the longest warranties in the tyre industry – standing by there tyres for 8 years from date of purchase.
BKT Tyres
The BKT is a well known manufacturer of tyres and has a very wide range – there is a BKT tyre available for nearly every tyre size.
Recently they have introduced a number of VF & IF tyres to their range:
- The V-Flecto is a low-pressure VF tyre for flotation, available in sizes such as the VF 710/60R42 & VF 600/60R30.
- The BKT Spargo tyre is a VF rowcrop tyre – popular on the long frame 6R in a VF 380/105R50 or VF 420/95R50.
- The BKT Agrimax Force is a IF tyre, the most popular size is the IF 900/50R42.
Bridgestone Tyres
Bridgestone have two main ranges we sell:
VT-Tractor: This is Bridgestone’s VF, low-pressure range – they can run at 40% lower pressure than a standard tyre. The range consists of common tyre sizes but makes them available in the low-pressure technology. E.g. the Bridgestone VF 900/50R42 is the lowest pressure tyres available – no other tyre manufacturer makes a VF 900/50R42.
VX-Tractor: The Bridgestone VX-Tractor is designed especially for long life on the road. With a special wear resistant rubber compound and 20% more rubber in the lugs, Bridgestone studies show that the VX-Tractor can last more than twice the length of other tyres. If a tractor is doing lots of road work – this is the tyre to go for.

Ag Wheel Exchange
Ag Wheel Exchange is an online marketplace where you can buy and sell agricultural wheels.
We have all our used sets listed on the website, with easy filters and search to help you find what you need.
There is also the option for you to list your own sets for sale on the website – our team will handle the calls, do the checks, and try and sell them for you. We work on a commission only basis – so if they don’t sell, it doesn’t cost you anything.
There is also a handy valuation tool – you can use this to get an idea of what a used or nearly-new set of wheels should be worth. Its only a guide, but can be useful to get an idea of trade in values when pricing up a tractor deal.
BWT Bespoke
